Hi all! Last weekend, Katelyn, Malone, and I hit the road to Ames for my cousin Patrick's wedding. He and Sarah tied the knot and every single thing about this occasion was simply beautiful, from the couple to the cake.
With Katelyn perfecting her loud scream/squeal/screech these days, I was a little nervous she might try to steal the show during the ceremony, but she was great and on her best behavior. Each guest got a foldable fan upon arrival and Katelyn was perfectly content playing with that and looking around at all the people during the wedding. Here she is still having fun with the fan while getting to meet her Great Aunt Mary.
The reception was held at Jasper Winery in Des Moines and it was great fun! Cocktail hour took place indoors and then we enjoyed dinner and toasts to the happy couple in a huge tent outside. The party then continued back inside with people dancing the night away! Here are some more photos of the fun...

Katelyn was quite the party goer and had a lot of fun hanging out with all kinds of family and friends - there was no shortage of helpful hands even though Michael was out of town. Considering we got home close to midnight, Katelyn was a total trooper! She's such an easy going baby and we're thankful for that. Michael would've been so proud of her.

I am so thankful the travel warriors (Katelyn and Malone) were great in the car to and from Iowa. It was a fabulous weekend with family and we wish Pat and Sarah a lifetime of love and laughs!

This post helped me relive a GREAT weekend! Katelyn, you are such a big girl standing so tall on everyone's laps and letting out a few sqeals so everyone knows you're still there! We're anxious for your next visit!!!
Katelyn, We are SO glad you and your mommy made the trip to Des Moines to celebrate Patrick and Sarah's wedding!! You charmed everyone at the wedding and they just couldn't get enough of your cuteness!! It was good that you and Campbell got to see each other again!! We'll see you soon in September at the Rehm reunion!!
