4 Months Old

Katelyn is 4 months old today! We swear she gets sweeter by the day and it brings us so much joy to see her grow and her personality shine...

At 4 months old, here's what Katelyn's up to:

~ Loves to grab her feet (see above :)

~ Sticks her little tongue out when smiling or being playful

~ Can roll over (see previous post)

~ Enjoys babbling, squealing, giggling, and smiling at friendly faces

~ Loves looking in the mirror (foreshadowing of her teen years? Uh-oh, maybe!)

~ Sleeps great at night, but a couple times a week will get her arms and legs out of the swaddle which wakes her and she "talks" for help. Once re-swaddled, she's back to sleep.

~ Naps anywhere from a total of 3-6 hours a day.

~ Eats 6 times a day at 6 am, 9 am, Noon, 3 pm, 6 pm, and 8:00 pm. From what I can tell based on her bottle consumption at school, she eats between 3.5 and 6 ounces at each feeding.

~ Loves seeing Michael and she tends to quiet and become alert when she hears his voice.

~ Enjoys bath time now and actually splashes around and gives smiles to Michael, the official bather.

~ Likes to grasp anything she can get her paws on (that includes hair, earrings, necklaces, skin, fingers, and toys)

~ Likes being held upright on your shoulder to look around and see what's going on

~ Still infatuated with ceiling fans and TVs

She has her 4 month check-up on Monday so we'll get some growth stats then. We thank God everyday for Katelyn Clare - she's a true blessing in every sense of the word!
