Hugs and Kisses for Gramma and Grampa Ridnour

Since Katelyn is really enjoying books these days, we signed up for Baby Storytime at the library on Friday mornings. Maple Grove has a brand new public library and we decided it's time to get acquainted with it! The storytime class we're in is for babies 0-24 months and Katelyn had a great time! (I have to admit, I thought it was pretty fun too :)

Each child has their own mat, books, and other interactive toys. For the last 15 minutes of class all the kids get to play together. Friday's book theme was "Hugs and Kisses" so the books all related to xoxo's. Check out our little book worm enjoying the first class...

We had special visitors when we arrived home after class... Gramma and Grampa Ridnour came to town for a couple days. Here's Katelyn showing Grampa Ron that she learned all about hugs (she's been doing this a lot lately - she's always been a cuddler but mostly when she's sleepy!)

She also got reunited with an old friend after Sophie the giraffe got left in Ames a couple weeks ago.

We went out for burgers on Friday night and it was so nice out that we ate outside - a rare treat in the month of October. Katelyn sat in a high chair right up at the table with us and ate her own dinner.

Michael and I went to a going away party for some friends of ours that are moving to Iowa, so Katelyn, Gramma, and Grampa stayed home together. Katelyn laughs so hard (big, hearty belly laughs) around my parents - Michael and I joke that she must think we're completely boring! Here's Sleeping Beauty in her pack and play after cracking up so much (and apparently getting limbered up to do the splits!)

Mom and Dad date night!

Starbucks coffee and Saturday mornings go perfectly together - Katelyn agrees...

Just lounging around before we headed out for brunch...

Again, Katelyn was a great little lunch companion sitting right up at the table with us. She got a little boisterous after awhile, but she was just so excited to show everyone what a good eater she is!

Katelyn has started clapping lately. She will try it when we clap to her and it's pretty cute (and how about these thighs?!  Love 'em :)

What a fun weekend with some of our favorite people! Thanks for visiting, Mom and Dad!
