All Things Fall

On the heels of a beautiful fall weekend, it's another gorgeous day in the Twin Cities. Sunny, cool, crisp fall days are so great and that's what the weekend consisted of, so we took full advantage! (But not before some Saturday morning photos :)

Chili simmered in the crock pot most of the day on Saturday and then we went to our friends, Ryan and Stacy's house to watch the Iowa football game. Hooray for a Hawkeye win! Katelyn enjoyed hanging out with two new friends: Reese (Stacy and Ryan's 4 month old daughter) and Doolin (their sweet-as-can-be Boxer mix).

Katelyn is officially on her way to being mobile... uh-oh! She's able to get on all fours and also rolls to get from here to there. Here she is in action:

On Sunday, we went to an apple orchard with our friends, Sarah and Troy. Both of them went to Ames High with me and Troy was in my class. Troy also works with Michael at Target, so the connections continue. They have a 15 month old son, Noah. It was fun to take the kids to the apple farm!

Here we are checking out the big hay bales...

How do you like Katelyn's sombrero?!? Ole!

The photos below are in honor of Katelyn's farmer (and John Deere-loving) relatives like her Great Grandpa Rehm and Great Grandpa Ridnour :)

Noah was funny on the tractor - he was bouncing up and down trying to get it to "go!'

We took a hay ride behind a real tractor around the orchard...

Katelyn enjoyed smiling at the people seated behind us on the ride...

Here are Katelyn and Noah in a sea of pumpkins...

It was a nice weekend with all kinds of fall fun! We look forward to the rest of what's in store for October :)
