Easter 2010: Katelyn Meets Grandma Debbie and Aunt Jennifer

Hope everyone had a great Easter! We love this time of year - the new life and new beginnings it represents is so refreshing (not to mention the nice weather and Twins baseball it brings :) We had a wonderful weekend and Katelyn got to meet Grandma Debbie and Aunt Jennifer! They flew in from Nashville on Friday morning and stayed until Sunday afternoon. This was the first time we have seen Jen since she got back from studying in Australia last fall and it was great to catch up. They enjoyed meeting Katelyn and as usual she had fun checking out the new faces and making new friends!

We went to Good Friday service, shopped on Saturday, went on several walks, watched a movie, went to church on Easter Sunday, ate lots of sweets from the Easter Bunny (Debbie spoiled us with candy and a special basket for Katelyn), and enjoyed a little Easter brunch at our house. We are grateful to have spent Easter with Michael's mom and sister - thanks for visiting!

Ready for church on Easter! (Adorable outfit from my friend Sara Lenz :)

It was a nice weekend and so fun to see Katelyn get introduced to more family members! Next weekend, Uncle Jason and Aunt Cassie make the trip from Illinois - we can't wait to see them!

Side note: A week ago we took an early morning walk and it was a little chilly, but being in Minnesota anything above 40 degrees is worth taking advantage of so we bundled Katelyn up and headed out. This photo of our little eskimo was too cute not to share...

It looks like she's thinking, "What in the world is going on?!"
