Hi all! Hope you've recovered from all the peanut brittle and Christmas cookies :) We are back from Ames and had a great time - pictures and info to come soon. We had an ultrasound today to measure the baby's growth (since I barely passed the gestational diabetes test and babies of moms with GD can be quite big). All looks good and her size is healthy, but she's measuring at 33 weeks 4 days (and I'm at 32 weeks 3 days) - so about a week ahead of "schedule" (really? how many babies are actually born on their "scheduled" due date?!) The doctor didn't change my due date or anything, but perhaps we'll have a little Valentine - just like her Great Grandpa Mlakar :)
Everything else checked out great. She's 4 lbs. 14 oz. right now, which means she's bigger than the Bichon puppy that my brother Ryan and sister-in-law Carly got Jack for Christmas!! The ultrasound tech also measured her femur bones and mentioned they are pretty long and inquired if long legs run in our families. Hmm... clearly not a trait from 5'4" me! Just wanted to update you on today's appointment. Enjoy this holiday week!

So exciting, Missy! I wonder if she'll be tall like Campbell? We have no idea we're she gets it either, but she has always been in the 97th percentile for height. We're so happy you have such a healthy baby girl!
Whaaaahoooo!!! She is going to be one sassy little lady with those long legs! She probably takes after her Aunt Heidi or as you like to call me "go go gadget legs!" No more messing around with those phrases once you have one of your own! So glad that everything is going smooth sweet momma!
So wonderful, Missy! Can you believe how much little baby Mlakar has grown already? I wonder if she'll take after her second cousin, Campbell? Where are these little girls getting their height?!?!!! It won't be long now before you'll be holding your little bundle of joy in your arms!!
